Armenak Vardanyan

Armenak Vardanyan is a sculptor and painter from Yerevan, Armenia.

His sculptures are subtle, refined and often witty. They vary in size and materials; from huge statues to small sculptures and from hard marble to molten bronze.

His paintings on the other hand, are more abstract. His use of color, his bold brush strokes and his organic silhouettes fill his paintings with motion, strength and passion.

Armenak Vardanyan’s sculptures and paintings are kept in the National Gallery of Armenia, various galleries within the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries, the Russian Academy of Fine Arts, the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, the Dante Museum in Ravenna and numerous private collections worldwide. He has won many awards and is considered an established artist within and outside Armenia.
